About Dawn
 Hi, thanks for stopping by and welcome to my little
corner of the One Stroke world! My name is Dawn Davis, not only am I a Dental
Hygienist, but as of July 06 I am also an Elite One Stroke Certified
Instructor. Donna Dewberry’s One Stroke method has allowed me to learn,
develop and enjoy my hobby of painting in a fast and efficient manner. I
never dreamed that I had a talent to paint and still do not believe what
flows from my paintbrush to the project at hand. I hear this from my students
also, when they experience the joy that comes from seeing what they
accomplished from their hearts , through their hands and the paintbrush,
beginning with their very first project, I love to see that I’ve got it look
on a students face.
I was home recuperating from back surgery during the summer of 1999 when I
discovered Donna Dewberry and her One Stroke painting technique on QVC. I was
fascinated. I set a goal to attend one of Donna’s Certifications courses when
I was able. As soon as the doctor would allow me to travel, I traveled to
Altamonte Springs, Florida, for the December Certification (1999). Donna was
the certifying instructor at that time. Never did I realize this would not
only open a door for a part-time business but I also meet so many people and
have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. Since that certification
I have attended continuing education classes in Georgia and Florida for the
last 6 years. I have also audited classes and have attended local workshops
with Kim Barone. There are always new things to
learn!!
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would teach. Guess what? Not
only do I teach it is one of the most rewarding gifts that I have been
fortunate enough to share with others. If you are liking for a hobby, even if
you feel as though you have little talent, come and join me for a couple of
hours, meet some great people and open the wonderful world of One Stroke
painting to yourself. Give me call and you too may become hooked on this most
rewarding hobby. You never know where the paintbrush may take you.
I only wished I had painted this it would have been a lot easier!
